Inspiring Conversations with Kb Hunt of Ready to Live - Voyageatl

Today we’d like to introduce you to Kb Hunt.

Hi Kb, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself. I am a proud mother of 4, who turned her obstacles to a pathway to help other women overcome this thing we call Life. My story starts with a broken woman who was going through a divorce, a newly single mom, working three jobs, and still could not keep the lights on. I knew that it was more out there, but I couldn’t figure out the formula that everybody else knew. It wasn’t until I stopped beating myself up and changed my mindset that I realized my value and my voice. I started Ready to Live Coaching to help women who are feeling how I once felt. Women who have given up and have hit rock bottom. Having over 16 years in Talent Acquisition and working with some of the World’s Top Brands, I have the pleasure of understanding the system and realizing growth starts from you. I saw many women in Corporate America despite their knowledge or degrees have the same issues the women living pay check to pay check, lack of confidence in themselves. That change can not happen with out a mindset shift. This is my passion, and I love what I do!! Transforming women to become the best version of themselves in order to have a Happy Career, and Happy Life fulfills my life.

I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey have been a fairly smooth road? Nothing worth having is smooth. From getting scammed out of my money by a company stating to help me grow and get grant money. To a brand manager who quit and didn’t tell me that she took a job at Amazon, to having 515 rsvp for my launch party, and only 80 came. I am still on this journey to change lives no matter how hard the obstacles hit. We are still going strong and love to take on tough challenges.

As you know, we’re big fans of Ready to Live LLC. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about the brand? Inside of the business itself, I work with a wide range of freedom seekers (that’s what I call my clients) across a broad spectrum of industries and backgrounds to enhance and jump-start their careers, life and overall self worth by enhancing their mindset. One solution does not fit all. So, there is nothing “off the shelf” about my process of helping my clients achieve their desired outcomes. I partner with each freedom seeker to reach their full potential while changing their mindset to a mindset of growth while uncovering their true motivation and goals. Together, we come to a clear definition of personal success by doing a deep dive with questions, no-holds-barred brainstorming, then drawing out a road map to meet the challenges. Inevitably, the process evokes surprising possibilities. Whether you are a new mom trying to figure out if going back in the office is right for you, a divorcée just trying to normalize your life, a new grad figuring out a career, or a C-suite executive who feels stuck or underpaid, or trying to transition into a new career. We can create and implement a specialized coaching plan together that produces the most efficient and effective ways to achieve your goals.

Here are some of the ways I help: • Mindset Coaching: all levels

• Managing and being managed in difficult situations

• Changing or redefining career direction: flexing your unused talents • Balancing career and life responsibilities • Succeeding in a company’s dynamics and politics

• Transitioning to a leadership role • Getting promoted • Fear Prevention • How to resign — and when • How to survive termination • Networking: how to ask for help • Communicating more effectively: “the politics of getting heard” • Convincing your interviewer…proving you are a solution • Building self-confidence

Do you have any advice for those just starting out? My advice is to let go of fear ( false evidence appearing real)and just do it. Fear holds us back from accomplishing so many goals. To make the first step in whatever you do , you have to believe in you first. You have to swallow that fear, love yourself, and have the fight to make yourself a believer. Let that fear go and manifest the life you want.
